  • The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is expecting a drier weather pattern to set up over southeast Texas and

        western Louisiana over the next week, while continuing an above normal rain pattern in south central Louisiana and parts

        of central Louisiana

 

  • Temperatures will be near normal in the drier areas, and a little below normal in the wetter regions

  • The tides will run near normal for the next week

  • In the tropics, a low-pressure trough in the Bahamas has a low (10%) chance of developing through this weekend

  • Another low-pressure trough, north of the Leeward Islands, has a medium (40%) chance of developing in the Atlantic

  • Neither system poses a threat to our region
